Aspen Ladd's combat sport journey began at 14 years old. She began training in kickboxing boxing wrestling, and BJJ. She made her amateur debut at age 18 in WCFC against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd went on an impressive 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In the three fights, she defeated her opponent right in the first round. Then, she returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen initially defeated Silvia Babyghian prior to going to face Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 and fought Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia outclassed Aspen and defeated her via unanimous decision to put an end to Ladd's amateur record. Ladd took her fight against Roma Pawelek to improve to a record of 8-1. Aspen started her professional career in 2015, signing to Invicta FC for her professional debut. InvictaFC 11 was her debut professional fight. Aspen dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing the 1st-round TKO. Invicta 16 also saw Aspen rise up to Bantamweight after winning the fight against Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen used the superior abilities she acquired in wrestling to beat McGill. She ended her fight via TKO (3rd round) (elbows, punches). Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18 at weight of catchweight (138.1lb) in the event that Ladd had missed weight. In spite of this, Aspen was able to beat Hoy. She won with a TKO after the second round. Invicta FC, 21 was her last promotion fight. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks was a unanimous winner. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She dominated Lina as she ground-and-pound pounded her for a TKO win in the second round. When she next faced Tonya EVINGER at UFC 229, her victory was more spectacular. Ladd defeated Evinger to the punch in the initial round, and was awarded the Bonus Performance of the Night. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent for the rematch that took place at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's first major match. The two fighters put on a back-and-forth encounter that ended with Ladd triumphing via a unanimous decision and both fighters received the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd in just 16 seconds to end her losing streak. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya after the third round at UFC on ESPN 7. In her recent fight for the UFC she took on Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 as a replacement fight. The fight was unanimously decided in her favor.
