Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born on 20th August 1974 in Aviano Italy) American actress, most well-known for her critically-acclaimed performance of charming and naive characters. Adams was born to an U.S. Army officer in Italy and was raised in Castle Rock Colorado. Mid-1990s, she started dancing and performing professionally at Boulder's Dinner Theatre in Colorado and Country Dinner Playhouse. Later, she was able to join an area theatre in Minnesota and was offered a role in a documentary mock-up concerning beauty pageant contests Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). In Los Angeles, she pursued an acting career following her film debut where she played a dizzy but friendly contestant. She was the wife of the actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 to September 1962 and is the maternal grandmother of Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh, who was discovered by the actress Norma Shearer Leigh signed a contract with MGM to begin her career as a film actor in the mid 40s. Over the next decade she was in a variety of popular films including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up by Martin Lewis and Martin Lewis (a 1954 film).
